A dormant seed can lie nestled in the soil for decades only to bloom when the conditions present themselves in just the right way. Often we do the same thing. Years of obligation, denial, stress, and frustration can bury us until we realize we have ceased to nurture our souls.
Sometimes it just takes a nurturing influence for us to recognize our worth and begin to practice self-care and self-acceptance. A shift begins to take place, allowing growth and renewal of spirit. This can sometimes bring emotions and fear to the surface. We may even feel we don't deserve to feel happiness or make this time for our own healing.
Practicing yoga, both on (asana & pranayama) and off (acts of kindness & compassion) the mat will help you reconnect with your truest self, feeling supported and held every step of the way. A "blooming" into self!
Now, perhaps more than at any other time, we need to care for ourselves, to breathe, to find a sense of calm and peace within.
